History "Living tradition" - 100 years of FC Grone
"Always forward, never backwards" April 1, 1910 Albert Hampe founded FC Grone and found himself first and foremost to give recognition to the sporting idea of founding a football club in Grone. A new board was elected: 1st chairman: Albert Hampe 2nd chairman: Heinrich Böker Secretary: Gustav Krengel Treasurer: Friedrich Krengel February 20, 1914 The motto for the banner was fixed: "Always forward, never backwards" September 22, 1935 Inauguration "Sportplatz am Rehbach" opening game FC Grone - 1. SC Göttingen 05 3: 1. 1948/1949 promotion to the Hildesheim League. 1949/1950 promotion to the amateur upper league NS Ost. 1970 60th anniversary of the club combined with the fun fair and the anniversary game against Hamburger SV. 1973/1974 master of the district league and promotion to the association league. August 29, 1981 1. DFB Cup round FC Grone - Borussia Dortmund in the Jahnstadion 0: 4 in front of 8,000 spectators. 2010 "Living tradition" - 100 years of FC Grone 2010 is all about the 100th anniversary of the club. February 2010 Presentation of the 420-page club chronicle "Living tradition" - 100 years of FC Grone. Presentation of the anniversary events. April 9, 2010 Festkommers on the day of the founding in the Volkswagen Center Göttingen / Autohaus Südhannover GmbH with numerous guests from Göttingen politics, business and Göttingen sports. 2010 The 1st team is promoted to the Landesliga Braunschweig in the anniversary year. May 21, 2010 Bundesliga relegation HERTHA BSC Berlin is visiting the Rehbach for the first anniversary game. The old lady from Berlin wins 4-0 in front of almost 2,000 spectators. July 09, 2010 Hannover 96 is handing in its business card as a guest for the second anniversary game. Again, numerous spectators find their way to the FC stadium.
